Hello Everyone, my name is Kim. Thank you for stopping by The Electric Poppy as you go through the My Cricut Craft Room Blog Hop. Brief description of what I have created for you. I made a zoo themed mini album using the cuddly characters from 'Create a Critter' cartridge from Cricut. The mini album is made from a single piece of 12 x 12 cardstock. So lets take a look.

This is the cover. Each page of this mini album measures: 4" x 5 3/8". I used glossy accents on the word Wild and applied some Doodlebug Sequins for some bling.
The album first opens vertically (I have a video below to show this mini in action) to 2 pages that have a small pocket that will hold photos or a tag. The word 'Happy' is from the Cricut cartridge 'Robotz' or on Cricut Design Space it is one of the Cricut Fonts. The word 'Explorer' is part of the 'Create a Critter' cartridge. These pictures are measure 3 1/4" x 2 1/2".
The album will then open horizontally showing 2 pages; one of which is a flap (on the right). Again, each page measures 4" x 5 3/8" - I created 2 mats: 3 7/8" x 5 1/4" and 3 3/4" x 5 1/8". These mats frame and create the background. As you can see there are 2 tags peeking from behind the hippo, we will get to those momentarily.
While staying on the same page the hippo page will flip up vertically revealing 2 more pages. Again these adorable characters are from Cricut 'Create a Critter'. I created these characters in Cricut Design Space and will be sharing this file with my followers.
On the next page is areas for mounting pictures and has places for tags. The elephant page has a large enclosed pocket that will hold 2 tags or one large tag that can be used to journal a special day. The turtle page with the small pocket can be used for a journaling tag or photo.
Here is a closer look at the takes which are craft tags by Ranger. The smaller tags measure 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" and the large tag measures 3 1/4" x 4 1/8". These tags are perfect for mounting photos or journaling about a special trip or memory.
This is where it all started - a single piece of 12 x 12 cardstock. I used CutMate paper for the base. I will be creating a blog in the few days to show all the details of scoring and cutting to create this album. So, please, be sure to follow my blog and subscribe to receive e-mails.
This was the hardest task...picking out the papers. They all measure 4" x 4" to make cutting happen quickly. I used CutMates paper and Paper Layerz by Megan Elizabeth.
Here are all the characters waiting to be assembled. I must admit this process was the fastest as I used Cricut Design Space.
I know this is a lot of photos but I wanted to show all the details. This is how I assembled my little characters by using a Xyron Create-a-Sticker machine. This really made assembly happen quickly.
Here they are waiting to find their place on your scrapbook page, card, or mini album. As I said, I will be sharing this file with my subscribers and followers.

I used My Mind's Eye 'Follow Your Heart - Be Amazing' 6" x6" paper pack for the smaller mats to create the backgrounds and the tags by Ranger.
I used stamps by Heidi Swapp to stamp on the tags. Love them!!!
